Funding Information
Non-Levy Payer:
If you are a non-levy payer, then you will be expected to pay 5% of the co-investment for the apprenticeship you select for your employee. The government will ‘co-invest’ in the cost of the apprenticeship with employers that don’t pay the levy. You will be asked to make a small contribution to the cost of the training. The government’s co-investment increased from 90% to 95% on 1st April 2019, making apprenticeships more affordable than ever!
Levy Payer:
If you are a levy payer, it will come out of your levy pot. Payments will be directed into your own digital apprenticeship service account, which you can then use to pay for apprenticeship programmes (no other training programmes will be funded via this account – only apprenticeships). However much you pay into the digital account, the government will pay an additional top-up of 10% into that account for you to use on apprenticeships. Once the training you have agreed to has started, monthly payments will be automatically taken from your digital account to pay the training provider.

What is an EPA (End Point Assessment)?
An End-Point Assessment (EPA) is the final stage of an apprenticeship. It’s the process that checks whether an apprentice has fully developed the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for their specific role before they can officially complete the apprenticeship.
Think of the EPA as the final exam of your apprenticeship—but instead of just one test, it usually includes several practical and theoretical assessments.
You only take the EPA after:
All training is completed
All requirements have been met within the apprenticeship standard
You (as the employer) and the training provider agree they are ready (this is often called the “gateway”)
An EPA is conducted by an independent organisation (not your employer or training provider) to ensure the assessment is fair and unbiased.
It can include things like:
A practical assessment (doing their job in real or simulated conditions)
A professional discussion or interview
A portfolio review (work you’ve completed during your apprenticeship)
A knowledge test (sometimes multiple choice or written)
Since EPA’s are course spesific, take a look at the course you are intrested in following.
Apprenticeship Time Commitments (OTJH)
As part of your employees’ apprenticeship, you are expected to provide 20% of their regular working hours dedicated to the apprenticeships as OTJH (Off-The-Job Hours).
These hours would be dedicated to training within our course and giving the employee a sample time to implement their training within work hours. Our apprenticeships are set to document all OTJH within a learner’s qualification and are mandatory for their final assignment to be processed (possibly changing depending on the course selected). All OTJH are logged within a platform we allow access to called QualsDirect.
Typical OTJH that consistently appear in our apprenticeships are specific to their highlighted course, but could be broken down into exciting training, researching, documentation completion, further practical work, and teamwork being hosted within their business.

A large reason for committing an employee to one of our apprenticeships/diplomas is the act of upskilling. Within your business, it’s wise to keep your staff trained up and ready to take on any task your business may have. Our apprenticeships allow your employees to upskill themselves for a fraction of the regular training provider costs, with the benefit of working with our top-quality tutors, getting your employees all the way through their qualification, no matter the learner.
Quote: “My tutor has been excellent and is not only teaching me new knowledge but also helping me with completely overhauling my marketing strategy as a whole, as well as the social media presence of my company, so I am learning and also putting my knowledge into practice from the word go. I wasn’t sure an apprenticeship was for me, but I couldn’t have been more wrong!”
