About Us

We are Alpha Gateway College, based in North London, with teams located across the UK.

Our primary focus is on providing the best apprenticeships and Diploma-only qualifications, whether you are an upcoming operations manager, content creator, or aspiring to achieve any of the many courses we run. We’ve been involved in the provision of accredited learning and professional development of adults and young people since 2003.

Due to the quality of our delivery over the years, we have supported 5,000+ learners in obtaining accredited and certified qualifications, ranging from National Vocational Qualifications to Diplomas and Higher National Diplomas, at levels 1 to 5 (and this is still ongoing). To keep learning with us, feel free to check out our past newsletters!

We pride ourselves on delivering customised, flexible training to suit the needs of our employers, learners, students and our major stakeholders. Based in Waltham Forest, we have had the opportunity to support a diverse multicultural community. This has gone a long way toward enhancing our ability to understand diversity and manage programs designed to meet the various and diverse needs of our service users. This is reflected in the calibre and quality of the learners and staff we recruited over the years.

At Our Last Annual Graduation, We Had Over 250 Students Eligible For Graduation In The Following Disciplines:

  • Business and Admin Level 3

  • Customer Services Level 3

  • Health and Social Care Level 3, 5

  • CYPWF Level 3, 5

  • Management Level 3, 5

We Now Run The Following Accredited Funded Courses:

All our above courses are work-based learning, with most of the delivery taking place at our apprentices’ place of work. We do run Functional Skills workshops here at Alpha Gateway College and some underpinning knowledge sessions too.

Support Services Include:

  • One-To-One Support For All Learners

  • Tutorial Support

  • Email Support

  • Workshops

  • ICT Suite

  • Administrative Office Support

  • We have a proven track record of successful recruitment, delivery, and completion. Many of our learners complete their training with us and go on to achieve additional qualifications and/or work promotions

We are specialized in delivering Health & Social Care, Children & Young People Workforce, Business & Administration, Customer Service, and Childcare.

  • We actively promote and monitor continuous professional development for all our staff and consultants working with us. Consultants or freelance colleagues are required to submit quarterly updates on activities they have undergone towards their CPD.

CPD can involve any relevant learning activity, whether formal and structured or informal and self-directed. We believe that this is the means by which people maintain the knowledge and skills related to their professional lives and they can keep abreast with changes and updates in their given sector.

  • At Alpha Gateway College, we strive to ensure students’ welfare is looked after through their course journey and even beyond by giving advice information, and guidance. We welcome students’ issues, and we have the ability to understand that their experiences are crucial in enabling them to work through their problems effectively.

We have an obligation to ensure students are protected from discrimination and harassment and that reasonable adjustments are made to give disabled students equality of access in all aspects of their studies. We support students by encouraging and reminding them of the importance of having a qualification and supporting them throughout the course journey to enable them to achieve their qualifications.

  • At Alpha Gateway College one of our key strengths is our investment in staff development and training. Our dedicated human resources department at the beginning of every year designs a staff development package for each member of staff based on their performances over the last year, the new and emerging needs of the organization, and also based on new legislation and updates within the sector.

These packages tie in with the aims and objectives of the organization as would have been agreed by the board of directors at their bi-annual general meeting. Each member of staff working at Alpha Gateway College benefits from a yearly training package based on all of the above and in line with their personal and professional development plan.

  • We are always seeking to build and maintain partnerships that will support our aim of providing funded courses to all our students across all sectors, across all age groups, and across all funding streams from the local authority to DfE funding.

Our goal is to identify and work with partners who are willing to work together with us to secure funding for all our students. We are currently with more than 10 partners across different funding projects.

We have regular meetings with our partners to actively discuss the success of our programs and to ensure that the quality required by our prime contractor, awarding organizations, and our own internal quality system are adhered to.

  • We are engaged with approximately 150 employers across the UK and in order to acknowledge their value to us and promote a strong working relationship, employer satisfaction surveys are conducted twice a year.

From these surveys, our statistics report a significant level of satisfaction overall. However in pursuance of higher satisfaction and optimum employer retention, we believe in challenging ourselves to enhance the quality of each course we provide by tailoring them to the employers requirements.

  • We are working with a number of different awarding bodies to ensure that we can always provide a variety of courses that suit the needs of our students.

  • We are always looking for new partners and prime contractors who have funding that could be made available to our learners. We believe in sourcing funds through all available channels from the local authorities, the skills funding agency or the European social funds. These are passed on to our learners who are the ultimate beneficiaries.
