?What does the qualification cover?
This quali?cation develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in health and social care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.
It has three pathways:
- Generic Health and Social Care
- Learning Disability
It is also a must-have for all those undertaking the Level 3 Health and Social Care Apprenticeship.
Who is it suitable for?
All those who wish to work or are working in an unsupervised role with adults in health and social care environments.
What are the entry requirements?
You should be at least 16 years old and in employment relevant to this qualification.
How many credits are required to complete it?
The Diploma requires 58 credits.
?How is it assessed?
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments.
Do you need to be working to take the qualification?
Yes, you will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. Your work role must be relevant to the qualification
How long does it take to complete?
You can usually complete it in a year or less.
